First Christian Church is a community of Christians that gathers in Erwin, TN. The congregation was founded in 1891 soon after the town was founded in 1876. Though the church is non-denominational, led by Christ and overseen by a group of local elders, it most closely relates to a group of similar churches commonly called the Restoration Movement. A primary goal of the Restoration Movement is the unification of all Christians in a single body patterned after the church of the New Testament. As a result, FCC actively seeks opportunities to build unity with fellow Christians in all local Christian congregations, whom we consider to be our brothers and sisters in Christ and partners in service to the local community.
