Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who exactly will be watching my kids?
  •     This event is being coordinated by our Youth Minister, Andy Frazier, who has been serving kids in church ministry for over 14 years. The team of volunteers helping at the event are all church members, many of whom also have many years of experience as parents or in childcare work.

  • Will my kids be safe?
  •     Yes! The safety of your children is our top priority. Throughout the night your kids will be closely supervised by responsible adults. The building will be secured, with only one entrance/exit unlocked and monitored throughout the night. We use a check-in/check-out system to ensure that only an approved person can pick up your children. In the unlikely event of an emergency with your child we are prepared to respond with basic First Aid, can provide quick and safe transportation to the local hospital (unless ambulance transportation is recommended), and you or your emergency contact will be contacted as soon as possible while an adult stays with your child at all times as allowed.

  • What do I need to bring?
  •     Besides your kids of course, we ask that you bring a completed permission form to speed up the check-in process. Though we are expecting all kids to be potty trained, we know accidents happen so you are welcome to bring a small bag with a change of clothes if you want.

  • Are there any restrictions or rules my kids need to know?
  •     Kids are expected to treat others as they want to be treated and respect the adults supervising them. In general, it will be a school-like environment and they should follow the basic rules of behavior expected there. Please do not allow your kids to bring things like mp3 players, video game systems, cell phones, or anything else that might distract from their participation with the group activities or could be broken or lost. If you have a specific question or concern feel free to contact us in advance or ask when you drop off your kids.

  • What if I am early/late with my kids?
  •     You may drop off and pick up your kids at any time between 5:30-8:30pm. In consideration of our volunteers and their families we ask that you not bring your children before 5:30pm or pick them up later than 8:30pm. In the event it becomes absolutely necessary, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • Why are you giving up your night for us?
  • We thought this would be a great way to let you know how much we love and appreciate you and your family. Though we are offering this service to you for free with no expectation of getting anything in return, we do actually benefit from having an opportunity to meet and serve you and your family. If this service has been meaningful to you, we hope you will take a few minutes to learn more about our Lord Jesus Christ and invite you to visit a worship service to see how we may be able to serve your family in greater ways.
